"It doesn't matter if you come from the inner city. People who fail in life are people who find lots of excuses. It's never too late for a person to recognize they have potential in themselves."Ben Carson isn't one to find excuses for why things don't go the way he would like, instead he is an incredibly hard worker. After Carson graduated from Yale University, where he majored in psychology, he went on to work as an x-ray technician, a bank teller, a school bus driver, a supervisor for highway cleanup crews, and a crane operator in a steel factory before being accepted into the University of Michigan School of Medicine. After graduating grad school with his M.D he and Candy, his newly wedded wife, moved to Baltimore where Carson performed his residency training at the John Hopkins Medical Center. Carson went on to direct pediatric neurosurgery at the John Hopkins Children's Center for 29 years.
