Carson is ready to put a stop to the US Department of Education dictating how children are educated in primary and secondary schools, and Common Core. He wants to make it to where our education system is run by involved parents and engaged teachers and principals. This would a step in the right direction!Carson is a strong believer in the power of education, and he is alarmed by the studies showing that American students are falling behind the rest of the world. Carson founded the Carson Scholars Fund in 1994, which has awarded more than 7500 scholars and operates in all 50 states. This program has also established over 130 reading rooms across the US to encourage young students and their family to discover the pleasure of reading and to recognize the true power of learning.
